Volunteers Wanted: Join the Emergency Response Team

Group 312 Chicago, in partnership with the Maine Township Office of Emergency Management, is looking for volunteers who want to support their community during emergencies, severe weather events, and other situations where additional help may be needed. We are building a team of dedicated individuals who are willing to step up and assist when it matters most.

Our volunteers may assist with community preparedness efforts, support activities during public events, and participate in training exercises designed to strengthen local emergency response. During incidents, volunteers can help with coordination, logistics, and other support roles that help emergency management operate more effectively.

While amateur radio communication is one of the tools used by our team, the focus of this effort is broader. Our goal is to build a group of community members who are ready to assist with emergency preparedness and response while helping maintain strong connections between the community and local emergency management.

No previous experience in emergency response or radio communication is required. Individuals who are interested in learning, serving the community, and being part of a supportive team are encouraged to get involved. Training opportunities and guidance will be available for new volunteers.

If you would like to become part of the team and contribute to the safety and preparedness of our community, we encourage you to reach out and learn more about volunteering with Main Township OEM and Group 312 Chicago - info@group312chicago.org
